Key Responsibilities
- Create / provide solution design documentation for various client virtualization solutions
- Integrate/implement components in solution releases
- Provide technical guidance to operations and work together with other global engineering teams
- Carry out testing on engineered products and liaises with integration testing
- Provide 3rd level support on various virtualization technologies (using Citrix products)
Essentials Skills and Qualifications:
- Very good understanding of IT infrastructures including networking technologies
- Very good hands-on experience with XenDesktop 7.x / XenApp 7.x
- Very good hands-on experience in scripting with PowerShell
- Basic hands-on experience in one or more products of the following vendors Citrix, VMware, and Microsoft
- Good problem solving and testing knowledge
- Very good written and spoken English
- Higher Degree in Information Technology
- Minimal 1 year experience with engineering of Citrix products (XenApp, XenDesktop)
Desired Skills and Qualifications:
- Programming skills (preferable C#, java)
- Knowledge of Thin Client technologies (Dell-Wyse, HP)
- Understanding of Linux technologies
- Knowledge of Netscaler platform
The person will be responsible not only for engineering but also for self-driving of assigned tasks. Candidate should be able to manage cooperation with operational and testing teams, other engineering groups, vendors and solution architects. The scope of this responsibility is limited to technical topics as whole projects are managed by Product and Project Managers.
The engineered solution will require abilities to fast and effectively gain knowledge about new products and technologies.
The role is connected with engineering and solution designing rather than with operational tasks. The position allows to take part in engineering of new, enterprise solutions for large organization, so it can significantly increase candidates knowledge and experience. As many projects require cross-team collaboration with other engineering teams the candidate will easily absorb skills connected with other advanced IT technologies.
The challenge of managing technical activities from products assessment to final deployment gives real satisfaction to engaged person.
The whole engineering team is located in Wroclaw. It consists of eight experienced engineers. All crew is very helpful and open on new members thus the time needed for adaptation to new environment is usually shortened.
Apart from professional activities there are variety of team building events organized by team members as well as organization which allows to further build friendship and cooperation spirit (skiing, kayaking, hiking, squash, table tennis, bonfires, ....)
