As we develop an enterprise-wide data and digital strategy that moves us toward a greater focus on the use of data and data-driven insights, we are seeking a Senior Data Analyst to join our Data Quality Centre of Excellence within the Business Intelligence function. The Senior Data Analyst will be focused on performing data analysis, data profiling, data mapping and data validation on operational data from external/internal sources.

What will your essential responsibilities include?
- Perform data quality assessments on the Big Data environment using Big Data Quality (BDQ) tool
- Cooperate with stakeholders to understand data quality project requirements
- Build, test and deploy data quality rules in BDQ
- Perform root cause analysis, investigating any data errors or anomalies and implement solutions to correct data problems
- Develop metrics and reports supporting data quality initiatives
- Develop complex SQL scripts to retrieve data from strategic systems
- Participate in Scrum teams in one of organization strategic project
- Build DQ reports and dashboard using BI tools
- Collaborate with other teams in order to improve data quality within an organization

We’re looking for someone who has these abilities and skills:
- Degree educated in computer science or similar discipline
- Experience (2+ years) with data analysis/data initiatives
- Experienced practitioner in SQL with a good understanding of database structures
- Computer literate including Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and other commonly used software
- Fluency in English (both spoken and written) is a must
- Must be an independent learner and quickly understand processes
- Strong analytical, organizational, project management and communication skills
- Able to work within a team environment and cross-functionally to achieve the goal
- Detail Oriented, able to analyse and identify discrepancies.
Would be an asset:
- Experience with data integration tools (Informatica, SSIS)
- Developing dashboards and scorecards (PowerBI, Tableau, Microstrategy) experience
- Understanding of data warehouses and/or Big Data environment’s
- Having knowledge of data analysis in Python
- Working in Scrum teams
