Essential duties and responsibilities
  • Supervise daily operations of the Quality department
  • Attends Production, Technical, and Staff training meetings
  • Develops and maintain performance management and improvement systems
  • Formulates and maintains quality control objectives and coordinates objectives in cooperation with other managers to maximize product reliability and minimize costs
  • Identify and resolve problems, completing audits, determining system improvements, and implementing change
  • Maintains compliance in all aspects of role
  • Completion of measurements and documentation as assigned for PPAP
  • Ensure the success of the Integrated Management System by achieving and maintaining IATF 16949 certification
  • Accrurate record keeping
  • Active participation in problem solving and/or continuous improvement teams.
  • Annual performance review of Quality team; goals and objectives for the coming year are set and progress reviewed throughout the year
  • Plans, promotes, and organizes training activies related to product quality and reliability
  • Validates quality processes by establising product specifications and quality attributes
  • Manages internal/external audit processes
  • Manages cross functional problem solving and continuous improvement teams and activities.
  • Manages PFMEA, APQP, and PPAP activities requiring QC lab measurments
  • Prepares quality documentation and reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends including failed processes, studies, recalls, and corrective actions
  • Takes ownership of customer issues and follows up with “customer is right” attitude
  • Promotes continuous quality improvement and teamwork in all customer functions, internal and external
  • Help to maintain an employee oriented company culture that emphasizes quality, continuous improvement, and high performance

 

 

Qualifications and skills
  • Technical degree, preferably in the field of Quality or Engineering or a minimum of 3-5 years experience as a Quality professional in a manufacturing environment
  • Advanced understanding and experience with ISO 9001 and ISO/TS 16949 certification systems
  • Strong team building and team leadership with experience in a managerial position
  • Ability to identify development needs of employees and provide coaching and mentoring
  • Computer literacy, including effective working skills of MS Word, Excel, Powerpoint, and email
  • Superior attention to detail in all areas of work
  • Professional apperance and manners
